With the use of advanced IT technology, and the latest scientific and medical research, Medicom has created a clinical decision support system that is directly embedded into the health information system (HIS) to provide up-to-date drug and clinical information at the point of care. Medical professionals can standardize processing procedures, review prescriptions and medical information, as well as detect and prevent mistakes in drug prescribing. PASS is available in a number of different formats for specialized needs including PASS NET, PASS PC, PASS Pham Assist, and PASS Antibiotics.
PASS.NET: Clinical Decision Support Embedded Directly Into YOUR System
PASS.NET can be directly embedded into your existing Health Information System (HIS) using interface software standards, created by middleware technology, to ensure simple and streamlined results that can work across a variety of subsystems. These include clinical doctor workstation, hospital doctor workstation, nurses’ station, hospital pharmacy department workstations, etc., to achieve prescription review, medicine prescription information online inquiry and statistical analysis of the function of the problem.
The PASS.NET system will not interfere with the regular workload of doctors. The results are only to provide doctors with more rational clinical drug recommendations, and according to their practice, doctors can decide whether or not to prescribe medication, and it does not prevent prescribing medicine. Using PASS at doctor workstations, nurse workstations, and others gives clinicians an online overview and information inquiry function, a convenient real-time understanding of the drug, and avoid the problem of drug misuse. PASS offers statistical analysis of prescriptions for a retrospective review of prescribing issues, and irrational drug distribution.
PASS Antibiotics: Antibiotic Sorting Management System
The PASS Antibiotic sorting management system organizes antibiotics by their unique characteristics, healing efficiency, and safety, as well as medication price and other factors. This system has three settings for antibiotic division: unrestricted use, restricted use, and special use. Healthcare facilities can easily assign different levels of clearance to different users to improve the management of clinically used antibiotics.
Three Settings of Antibiotic Division:
- Special Use:
This setting is for antibiotics for highly drug resistant infections, when there are serious side-effects, when the directions must be specifically adhered to, new drug listings, or if the price is very high
- Restricted Use:
This setting is for antibiotics that may exhibit some form of bacterial resistance, the need for possible restrictions on the mass population, or above average price points.
- Unrestricted Use:
This setting is for antibiotics that have been clinical proven to be a safe medication, especially for long-term use, effective, and are less expensive
In the case of emergency situations or epidemic, health care workers are able to leapfrog clearance levels in order to use antibiotics for a limited time. For continued use, relevant approval procedures are still necessary.
PASS PharmAssist: Clinical Pharmacy Management System
PASS PharmAssist is based on the work of clinical pharmacists as well as the basic requirements of management specifications including: “Prescription Management”, “Hospital Prescription Management System Reviews”, “Guiding Principles of the Clinical Use of Antibiotics”, “Clinical Application of a Monitoring Program for Antimicrobial Agents” ,”Ministry of Health’s Management System for Antibiotics” and others. Pass PharmAssist reviews scientific sampling methods and norms for prescribing to simplify pharmacists work flow, and with a digital inquiry form it increases reporting quality and accuracy. Patient information is automatically registered allowing for a reality of one-click medical records and it can be linked to other PASS systems to examine and monitor results as well as investigate medical history.
